Who We Are

FOC Gem and Mineral Resources was officially founded in 2022 by husband and wife team Guy and Jill.  Our history with gems and minerals goes back 15 years as enthusiasts spending lots of time mining for the earth's treasures at some of the most geologically diverse areas in the United States. We have a passion for gemstones and we feel strongly that they should be mined ethically. All of our gemtones are either mined by us or rough material sourced from mines that have a documented history of sustainably extracting gem and mineral resources in a way that reduces impact to the earth. We do our own ore processing as well as our own cutting and stone setting at our lapidary shop in Washington.

"Gemology first and always" - this is FOC's primary belief when it comes to providing you with gem and mineral products. What this means is that you will always get what you pay for with no worry about whether or not the gem in our jewelry is not what is it supposed to be. At our gemological lab we make sure that the material is what it is - and if it is not we don't sell it.

Guy is currently a graduate diamond and colored stones gemology student at the GIA, having previously studied at the the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.
